If you follow me on social media, then you already know that I spent eight days in England with my parents. We were for The British Open, the third major of the year in golf. This is a tournament that I have never been to, but one that my parents typically go to every year. I was super excited about this since it's been years since I've been to England and since I've never experienced this tournament before.
And luckily for all of you {and for me, too} I vlogged it all!
We arrived in Manchester early Monday morning, and then drove to our rental house in Southport. The house was just a 25 minute walk from Royal Birkdale, this year's host course, so it made going to and leaving a breeze. The city of Southport itself is quite quaint; their city center had a good handful of restaurants and little shops. To be honest, we didn't spend a lot of time there because we assumed it would be packed with people there for the tournament.
I did have a bit of a setback since a new pair of shoes I had {they were returned} gave me the biggest and worst blister. I couldn't wear any sneakers or the Bean boots I brought with me for a few days so I had to get a pair of Tevas to wear to the course. They were great {read: I LOVE THEM} but not so fun when it rained. Because of course it rained. It's England.
But if you want to see how much fun I had, in the sun and in the rain, make sure to watch my newest travel vlog on my YouTube channel! And while you're there, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss any of videos I post every Thursday! :]
