So the Sephora VIB Sale snuck up on me this year...
I wasn't expecting to get access to it as early as tomorrow, November 3rd, but I'm not complaining. And even though I've cut back on how much makeup I buy and how much makeup I own, there are still a few things on my wishlist. My cart currently has five items in it, but that could definitely change over night.
I had a bit of a dry skin issue at the end of January and beginning of February. While I've tried really hard to take better of my skin, sometimes these break outs just happen.
If you haven't seen me talk about it in the past, I have eczema and have been dealing with it my entire life. And that's not an exaggeration - a few days after I was born, I already had eczema rashes on my face. I've gone through periods where my skin looks amazing, but I've also had months where my skin is so dry, covered in rashes, and inflamed. My skin is so sensitive and reacts to so many different things so I have to stay away from scratchy fabrics {no one wants to deal with those anyway} and anything with a fragrance. I'm so careful about reading the labels to see what clothes are made of and the list of ingredients on makeup and skincare. Hey, you can never be too careful!
Since I've just recently figured out what was causing my latest outbreak and my skin is finally looking better, I thought I would share my favorite skincare products that I've been using over the past year. I honestly really love these products and can attest that they work. Sometimes I'll think that my skin is finally looking better so I can try something else, only to realize that I should just stick to what works. Sephora had their VIB Rouge/VIB sale in early November, and you know I couldn't pass that up. I bought a lot of things that I'd used up, some Christmas gifts, and skincare products I've been wanting to try. I got everything on my list so I consider this year's sale a success!

Since the weather is warm, the sun is out {on most days}, and beach days are ahead, I thought I would share my suncare favorites. SPF is insanely important. My dad had skin cancer when he was younger so I know all about the importance of wearing SPF and taking care of your skin when you're out in the sun and just every day. I've learned what works best for me that I wanted to share with you!

I had to include my favorite self-tanner since I'm not much of a beach go-er. Also, it helps balance out the farmer's tan I get from golf. Problems, ya know? Let me know what some of your SPF favorites are! I'm always willing to give something a try!
I've accumulated a bunch of new things over the past month and wanted to share them with you! Sephora was double the rewards points on skincare products, and it was something I just couldn't pass up given the time of the year. My skin is always so dry during the colder months and the fluctuating temperatures aren't helping. Then Ulta was buy one, get one half off on most of drugstore brands so I picked up a few things there, too. And there might have been a stop at Bloomingdale's, CVS, and Duane Reade along the way - oops! Some are new things that I've never tried before but have heard great things about, and others are my tried-and-trues.

I've never shared with anyone until now! It's an old trick that I learned from my mom who used to do it when she was a teenager and used it on me when I was a baby. I'm pretty sure my grandma did it when she was younger, too. A skincare secret that spans generations... one that you definitely will want to try!
