I always hear so many people talk about the workout leggings from Lululemon and Zella. And don't get me wrong, they're really nice! But have you tried the activewear from Athleta?

Athleta has been my go-to for workout clothes for several years now. I love everything from their joggers to their workout leggings to their dresses to their sweatshirts. I think their selection is just the best out there and it seems like not enough people have tried it out.

And now is the best time to check out their selections because their new releases are killing it! I picked out my favorites, including their new jeans...

I know that I just posted about my spending freeze on Tuesday, and I just purchased a bunch of new things from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Haul... But like I said, I like to shop.

To be fair, I only picked up a few new things for the upcoming fall season. I'm super excited about all of them so I'm glad I made these purchases at J. Crew and H&M. I did a full try on haul on my YouTube channel and shared everything from the fit and how to style them!

I couldn't help myself and made a second order during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The deals are just too good to resist! To be fair, I didn't get that many things and I know that I'll get a lot of use out of everything.

I got a few things during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and decided that the best way to show you is in a video. I love try on haul videos because they're the most informative - you see how it fits and how the sizing works for that particular item.

I didn't get anything crazy; I tried to stick with things that I really loved and basics that I needed. To be honest, I was a little bit underwhelmed with the selection in store, and I wasn't thrilled with the shoes this year either. Am I the only one who thought that? Maybe we all just hyped it up so much this year and the excitement got to me. Oh well! It's not like I didn't buy anything...

Can you believe that it's the end of June and July 4th is next week? Where has the time gone?!

Anyway, I was going through my old blog posts over the weekend and found some of my outfit inspiration posts {like this and this} and decided I wanted to bring them back. I can't remember the last time I did any kind of outfit post and since I'm trying really hard to get back into blogging, I thought this would be one of the best ways. I always loved making and seeing posts like this because, to be real for a second, I don't need to see the same fashion blogger pose all the time. #notsorry

You guys, I haven't shopped for new clothes since December. Isn't that crazy? I've been trying to cut back on my spending and the amount of clothes that I have, and to be honest, it's really refreshing. But since my birthday is coming up {it's next Monday!}, I thought I would treat myself to a few things and wanted to share it with you!

I've never done a try on video before but love watching them. I think they're the most helpful since you can't really tell what an item will look like by just holding it up to the camera. Hopefully you guys like this just as much as I liked filming it! :]

Guys. GUYS! Syracuse, my alma mater, made it to the NCAA Final Four and is the first 10-seed to ever do it! Given that so many people didn't even think we should have made it to the tournament or would go very far {I'll admit it, I had them out after the Round of 32}, this is one heck of a feat. If you could have seen me jumping up and down in my living room on Sunday night, you probably would have laughed {like my dad did}, but I was so excited!

My parents and I have been going to the Final Four for a few years now. In fact, this will be my 8th time at the event, but just my second time seeing Syracuse there. Last year I shared an outfit post and thought I would do the same this year.

I won't continue on with the Adele lyrics because that joke is getting a little old now, but seriously - it's been a bit since I've been on here. Life got really hectic and busy and tiring and I put the blog and YouTube on hold while I tried to get everything together. I'm not quite there yet, but I'll be sharing an update soon!

While I'm trying to be better about budgeting my money {especially before the holidays}, I did want to add some new things to my closet for the fall and winter seasons. To be fair, I did and always do the majority of my shopping when things are on sale so I don't think I did too much damage to my bank account. And since I also do the majority of my shopping online, I always use Ebates whenever possible. That way I get some money back and never feel too awful about my purchases.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs start tomorrow in NJ with The Barclays Tournament and I am excited for four more fun weeks of golf before the season comes to an end. I often talk about the tournaments I go to and others throughout the year, but I never share what to wear. And what's better than one outfit? Two, of course.

I prefer to wear shorts and sneakers to tournaments because we walk follow a group or pairing {depending on the day} and go all 18 holes. Sneakers are just the most logical choice and the Reebok Skyscapes are incredibly comfortable. Shorts are just more comfortable for me in this setting, especially since I do sit down occasionally on the grass near the fairways. Pull-on shorts from J. Crew or J. Crew Factory are some of my favorites. I've also really loved wearing overalls this year and think it's a really cute throwback 90's outfit.

In terms of accessories, I tend to forgo lots of jewelry and opt for simple dainty rings like this one from BaubleBar. I do wear makeup but go for a routine that's really quick, easy, and long wearing. I love this sunscreen from Clinique {super important!}, their new liquid eyeliner, and mascara. Sunglasses and some type of hat are essentials. This 'Double Bogey' snapback is funny and just so appropriate. I always bring a small handbag to store my phone, credit cards {sometimes there are perks}, hand sanitizer, and other things.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw that I headed to Wisconsin yesterday. I thought I would share my go-to airport travel outfit - everything from the clothes to makeup.

I'm all about comfort and warmth when it comes to airports, so I wear leggings with a fun tee and add a sweater and a scarf as the trip goes on. I actually got the Sesame Street tee recently at Target and plan on wearing it on the trip back home. While I don't own these high-tops {though I would love to}, I'll be wearing these slip-on Converse sneakers. 

As for makeup, I tend to not wear much on travel days. I go for something quick and only do what I think are the essentials - brows, mascara, concealer, and lip gloss or lip balm. If I do add any eyeshadow, it's usually a quick swipe of cream eyeshadow from Laura Mercier.

I know that my travel outfit isn't exactly glamorous. The most important thing for me when I'm facing any type of trip is to wear comfortable clothing and still look put together. Both are key if you ask me!

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret, my favorite pajamas {and most of them, really} come from Forever 21.

Yes, you read that right. Forever 21.

I know most people don't shop there after college, but their sleepwear selection is great, not to mention it's very budget friendly. The nightdresses and sleep sets are all so soft and lightweight, making them perfect for the spring and summer months. The quality is something that you can expect from higher end brands, a surprise considering that some of those Forever 21 dresses you bought for college parties probably fell apart after a few wears. Even better, you can use some of the nightdresses and tops as beach cover ups. I love having pieces do double-duty!

The long Memorial Day Weekend is almost here! Do you have any fun plans? I'll be heading out to the suburbs for some quality time with my family. I actually don't live too far outside of the city, but the calmer atmosphere in NJ is very refreshing. There's nothing better than some sunshine and relaxing times at home.

With such nice weather ahead, I plan on breaking out my essential summer pieces this weekend. I'm looking forward to wearing sandals that I've already started planning out how often to rotate my nail polish colors. If you haven't seen Essie's newest collection, you need to find it ASAP! The NCAA Final Four is this weekend in Indianapolis and for me and my parents, this is one of the exciting sporting events we travel for. Even though my school hasn't been in many of these since we started attending {Syracuse is going through a rough patch right now}, it's still such a fun atmosphere to be in. And while I won't be sporting any school colors this weekend {except for maybe a little bit of red lipstick for Wisconsin when they play Kentucky}, I thought I'd put together a simple and casual outfit to wear while cheering on your team.

If you don't follow golf, then you might not be aware of a pretty big event happening this weekend. The Ryder Cup, taking place at Gleneagles in Scotland, will have the twelve man team for the USA  teeing it up against the twelve man team for Europe. Though I wish I could be there {currently living vicariously through my parents who left for the tournament yesterday!}, I'll be watching and cheering on Team USA from my comfy little couch.

I hope you didn't put away your festive red, white, and blue because patriotic fashion is on serious display at The Ryder Cup. We're talking face paint, crazy hats {or hair for the golfers}, team colors... You name it and someone is probably wearing it. Or just singing some crazy tune for their beloved team.

Team USA will be looking pretty sharp this weekend, as they were outfitted by Ralph Lauren. I went for a more subdued look with little bits of our flag here and there - a flag scarf, stars and stripes sneakers, tie-dye nails, star stud earrings, a red lip. And we can't forget the gold bag to give good vibes for a USA victory on Sunday!

I'm off to Boston today with my parents to watch the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. We had originally planned on flying but decided against it earlier this week so a fun little road trip is in store for us! Whenever we take trips in the car like this during the summer, I always choose to wear maxi dresses and sandals because they're so comfortable. I bring anything I think I'll need - a sweater, snacks, and a good book - with me and then throw my bag in the trunk. More often than not, I'll take this time to catch up on some sleep, but it's nice to think that I may get some reading done.
